Memorable ice cream

Along the lines of my tapioca time travel, I’m feeling nostalgic and curious about recent food holidays.

For National Ice Cream Sundae Day, my thoughts turned to the classic sundae I remember eating at Friendly’s as a child. It looks just like this:

National Coffee Milkshake Day made me think of the frappes my Boston grandmother made for me when I was wee. I realized I didn’t know what a frappe actually is. It was most instructive to find an answer here.

Having overeaten lately, I celebrated with a petite homemade coffee milkshake. With ice cream. Which makes it not a milkshake but a frappe, according to New England tradition. The more you know.
