Welcome to 2018, year of Cupcakes and Blue Sky.
I’m your host, Andrea the Cupcakologist. I’m a journalist specializing in the study of cupcakes – how and why Americans like them so much. After years of fieldwork to observe cupcakeries and their customers, I’m now sitting down and talking to people about our love for cupcakes. I’m holding nationwide meetups at cupcakeries, casual events to meet local customers and hear your thoughts about cupcakes.
Here’s the thing: we the people are still eating cupcakes. There aren’t a lot of newsmedia stories about this, but it doesn’t mean cupcakes are out of fashion.
There’s no admission charge to attend. Just bring your cupcake-loving self, buy a cupcake from our gracious venue, and talk my ear off about what this national treasure means to you. It just might end up in my book.
